I'm back! -An update
So, it's been a few years. I have earned the rank of Eagle about a year ago now. I am now currently very involved in the OA(Order of the Arrow), I've worked two years at my council summer camp, etc. In this post I'll give you a brief update of the past two years.
First off the big thing, I earned Eagle Scout! I'll write a whole post about my project later on, but I'll give a brief description of my project. My project was a adoption event and donation drive for a local no-kill animal shelter. I am very passionate about animals and especially no-kill shelters. I have always tried to support no-kills so when the opportunity came up I was very excited. I earned Eagle Scout September 14th, 2023. I had some of my best friends there to support me and I was the fourth eagle in my troop and my family.
After earning eagle I held my court of honor, where I handed out six mentor pins. One to my committee chair Mrs. Becky, one to a fellow founder of my troop and good friend Ani, and the rest to my four brothers Zach, Jon, AJ, and Payton. People from my church, troop, lodge, and camp came to celebrate with me, which I was incredibility grateful for. Obviously that was my biggest update, but I do have some others. Like I'm in the OA! I did my induction in spring of 2022. I am now a brotherhood member and current Vice Chief of Service (2024 year). I have also been Head of Kitchen before and CVC(conclave vice chief) of trading post (2024.)I am super grateful for the OA and I have learned so much about leadership and brotherhood. I have seen my best friend and honorary little sister get inducted in the past few months. I've also gone to three section conclave, which is like a big campout with surrounding lodges in Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri. And this years conclave I was CVC of trading post and taught a training. I have had so much fun in the OA and I plan on continuing to be involved for years to come.
The last update I'll talk about is working at camp. So I worked in 2023 for two weeks as a CIT(counselor in training.) And in 2024 I worked as a Junior staff (under 18 year old staff member), in our nature program where I taught many merit badges, archelogy being my favorite. I meant my best friend during my CIT year, Aianna and our bond only grew this summer. I also meant a few more close friends this year. I will write a more in detail post later about camp.
So, there's the update. I'm going to start posting more, no promises of a schedule though. I hope you all enjoyed hearing a bit about my life the past few years! I will write more soon, thank you all.
